Ensembles

The University Orchestra is active in approximately three work phases per year. It performs the great works of orchestra literature under the direction of renowned guest conductors. In the summer semester, the Brahms festival is traditionally opened with a symphony concert following a week of rehearsals. In addition, there are one or two orchestra concerts and an opera project. This work is accompanied by regular orchestra repertoire rehearsals for brass.

The fields of study offered include the University Choir and the Chamber Choir. The ensembles rehearse once a week and perform publically every semester, in the University itself or in the churches of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck.

Chamber music ensembles are particulary supported by the study courses offered and the advanced and extension courses.
