Master
The Master Programme is in the development stage and will replace the advanced and extension study courses. A prerequisite for Master Studies at the University of Music Lübeck is the successful completion of the Diploma or Bachelor Studies. The following courses are planned for the two-year Master Programme:

- Instrumental Music
- Chamber Music
- Piano Accompaniment
- Composition
- Opera Singing
- Concert Singing
- Ensemble Conducting
- Popular Music/Jazz (1 and 2 years according to previous education)
- Church Music A
- Music Theory
- Musicology
- Music Pedagogy (1 and 2 years according to previous education)
- Elementary Music Pedagogy (1 and 2 years according to previous education)
Master of Education
This two-year Master Programme builds on the Bachelor of Arts and is a prerequisite for acceptance into the teaching profession as a probationary teacher. If Music has been chosen as a double subject, the Master studies can be completed entirely at the University of Music Lübeck. Otherwise, sections of the second subject are studied at another university (e.g. Hamburg, Kiel). The teacher training elements are offered at the University of Music Lübeck.
