REQUIREMENTS
Main subject organ
Performance of three to four works (one free and one chorale-bound work by Johann Sebastian Bach, one from the epoch before Bach and one from the epoch after Bach), sight-reading of easier models, chorale playing and chorale-bound improvisation.
Piano as compulsory subject
Performance of two to three works (e.g. Bach Prelude and Fugue from the Well-Tempered Clavier, a classical sonata and a romantic or more recent piano piece).
Singing as a compulsory subject
Performance of an accompanied sacred song (e.g. Bach, Schemelli) or a lighter song (e.g. by Telemann, Schubert or Schumann) as well as an unaccompanied hymn.
Music Theory (written and practical)
Knowledge of general music theory and harmony (incl. playing the basso continuo), playing of extended cadenzas
Ear Training (written)
Comprehension of intervals, chords, rhythmic, melodic and harmonic correlations, dictation of notes in one and two voices. Music history (written) General overview of style epochs and genres, composers and their most important works. Recording and classifying a short excerpt of a work by ear from a recording (stylistically, formally, instrumentally, rhythmically, etc.).
