The departments of educational sciences of the MHL work correlatively. They complement and support each other and introduce a myriad of didactical methods. They provide insight on many pedagogical processes of reflection. Where and when they are of use, educational sciences correlate with musicology, music theory, teaching and practice.
Im Verhältnis von Musikpädagogik und Allgemeiner Pädagogik bzw. von Fachdidaktik Musik und Allgemeiner Didaktik sind die Erziehungswissenschaften ›die andere Stimme‹, manchmal ›Ruferin in der Wüste‹, Mahnerin, auch den erziehungs- und bildungsphilosophischen Reflexionshintergrund mit zu bedenken.
