Maria Egelhof

Currently a professor at the Lübeck University of Music, graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London, under the guidance of Prof. Yfrah Neaman where she attained her soloist diploma, and completed her artist diploma at the Music University of Saarbrücken in the studio of Prof. Ulrike Dierick. Besides many national, as well as international awards and prizes, she also received and was supported by numerous scholarships. Maria Egelhof began her concert life at a very young age as a soloist with renowned symphony orchestras as well as a chamber musician. The outstanding artist led masterclasses and played many concerts in almost all European countries and the former Soviet states. Maria Egelhof is often invited as a soloist and as a chamber musician to international music festivals. She has been featured in many television, radio, and CD productions. Many students of hers have already pursued a soloist career or have positions in Orchestras or Ensembles with worldwide recognition. As an editor of many Editions of the Schott Verlag, she has made herself quite a name, particularly the new edition of the Violin Etudes by R. Kreutzer.
