Post-graduate training »Improvisational Pedagogy«

Blick auf eine Gruppe Erwachsener, die sich in der Improvisationspädagogik weiterbilden

Improvisation means; making music in the moment. Improvisation as art of the moment is a presuppositionless musical practice. It can be applied in instrument and singing lessons, in elementary music education and in school projects while also existing as an independent art form. Improvising teaches musical as well as socially relevant competencies such as openness, communication skills, mindfulness, spontaneity, courage to fail and a readiness to take responsibility.

In cooperation with the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media (HMTMH), the MHL provides a training with practical orientation with 15 ECTS for the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) »Improvisational Pedagogy«. The participants enhance and deepen their artistic and pedagogical competences and learn to guide improvisation processes and integrate them into their own teaching.
