The central facilities of the MHL include the MHL Library, the Zentrum für Lehrkräftebildung (ZfL) ('Centre for teacher training') and the Zentrum für Weiterbildung (ZfW) ('Centre for Continuing Education'). Further facilities of the MHL are the Institut für schulbegleitende Musikausbildung (ISMA) and the Brahms Institute.
